Dave Coleman, Founder of DC Luxury Builds, brings a wealth of expertise from diverse fields. Trained under Joe Vanderzalm of Vanderzalm Construction in Niagara Falls, Canada, Dave specialized in new home construction, renovations, additions, and finish carpentry. He earned his Bachelor of Business Management at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire while captaining the NCAA men’s varsity hockey team.
Dave's career in sales with Stanley Black & Decker culminated as National Account Channel Manager, promoting brands like Dewalt and Stanley. His venture into real estate investment led to appearances on HGTV's 'Renovation Island', 'Family Home Overhaul', 'Vanilla Ice Project', and 'Island of Bryan'. Notably, Dave served as Project Manager and lead carpenter on HGTV's 'Renovation Island' Season 4, renovating a 3,700 square foot residence and a 3,200 square foot plane hangar in Wellington, Florida.
During 'Renovation Island' Season 1, Dave began collaborating with HGTV hosts Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, overseeing extensive renovations at Caerula Mar Ocean Club in South Andros, Bahamas. His role expanded to include managing construction crews from the USA, Canada, and Bahamas, renovating multiple structures including custom villas, hotel rooms, and commercial spaces. Dave also supervised the renovation of Sarah Baeumler Design Group's showroom on Palm Beach Island, Florida, showcasing his talent for interior design transformations.
